Did you visit campus before choosing UE? What did you think about UE after that visit?
Yes. Since I moved from another state to Evansville, I sometimes visited campus. After my first visit, I was impressed with the beautiful campus with purple signs everywhere because I love purple, and it is my favorite color. Now after several years, I can consider Evansville and UE as my home.
Why did you choose to attend UE's PsyD program over other graduate/doctoral programs?
When I heard that UE had plans to start a PsyD program, I eagerly waited for the announcement. In the first meeting with Dr. Jordan, while I asked my questions, I felt that the PsyD program is what I was looking for in terms of my interests and previous clinical background and experience as well as respect for individual, group differences and diversity.
What advice would you share with students going through the college search for graduate/doctoral programs?
My biggest advice would be to find the answer to what you are passionate about and your career goals, do your research, explore your options, and make sure the program fits with your interests and experiences.
Why do you recommend UE?
I recommend UE because it is a small college, and everything is accessible quickly. Also, the faculty here truly care about every one of their students’ successes.
Hobbies?
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, listening to music, playing with my son, and traveling with family.
